Delphine's Christmas Tags

My beautiful friend Delphine asked me for some Christmas tags to take home with her to France for the holidays. I of course, happily obliged! This years selection includes two new designs, the peppermint lollipop (possibly a made up Christmas addition by moi) and some lovely holly. Holly is so decadent. Although we don't have holly in the house anymore I've been doodling holly for as long as I can remember liking Christmas, so that's always then. Choose a couple of simple designs and draw them a few of times on a scrap of paper before going for it, but don't worry too much about getting them exactly the same each time, handmade is the best gift of all!

 

Quilting for Beginners

I'm taking a quilting course at Purl Soho this month. It's something I've wanted to explore for ages and I hope I will like the precision element of piecing and the bigger context of colour and pattern combinations. So far, so good. I've chosen this selection of fabrics for my first quilt, a 1.5 yard square simple quilt pattern. Here are my efforts so far!
