Welcoming in Halloween
Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at 8:04AM Possibly my favourite time of year, in equal place with Easter and Christmas, is the spooky, chilly, candy filled celebration of All Hallows Eve! Ooooh I get chills just thinking about it! It's September 8th and I'm planning my costume and decorations already. I'm going to be making some 'witches fingers' and decorating spooky cookies and I'm hopeful every year of holding a cauldron cocktail party with all that that entrails! I love to flick through old copies of Martha Stewart Halloween specials around this time and rework some of her ideas as my own. The site is always a great place to get inspiration // Martha Stewart Halloween. Here are a couple of my favourite things from her site this year, the pumpkin carving is always fantastically inspiring. This is also a picture of my Spooky Door from last year. I drew and cut out 'a pile of bones' and strung together Autumn leaves that blew in the wind to decorate my 'blacked out' door. Beware all ye who enter here!
