The Softest Baby Blanket
Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at 1:11PM I recently took up knitting. I bothered my friend at work, Deb Spokoney who is a very talented knitter, until she agreed to teach me! She agreed and we even went knitting together at City Bakery on their recent 'Night of Knitting', which was awesome - wonderful City Bakery food and drinks included. Talented Deb made about 5 things in the time it took me to make this baby blanket, but I will be forever grateful as she helped me through my first ever project - even unpicking 3 rows for me at one point. The yarn is from Lion Brand on 15th St, in the softest hipster grey ;) and the finished product was sent with love to my best friend of 20 years who gave birth to her first baby, a son, on February 26th.
I'm in love with knitting. This is only the beginning!

This is a very serious first time project. Most first time efforts get abandoned and left in a bag to be discovered many moons later. Well done and what is next? We are watching this space.
