Liberty Tote

This little bag is a present for a lovely girl called Jo :) who's been living here in NY for the last 4 months on a work transfer to my company. She's gorgeous and deserves something sweet to take back with her. She's going home to London this week and this is a little something for her things home in. A little bit of London admittedly with the Liberty print, but one I know she likes (and who wouldn't!) and a little but of New York with this children's classic by M Sasek, This is New York. I literally only had one strip of this fabric left from another project so I had to figure out a way to make the bag the right length. I mirrored the pattern on the two smaller pieces to create a longer piece and in doing so it created a new look to the fabric and it seems to have worked, which was lucky!
